Good morning, friends! ☀️
This newsletter is coming from Bulgaria, where I am visiting my grandparents! Its nice to have a break and receive some vitamin D! 🇧🇬
My motto for much of 2024 is
Create More Than You Consume
It may sound cringe-worthy, but it's really powerful for me and reminds me why I do all these things.
Most people nowadays consume content prolifically; I am guilty of this too. However, over the past few years, I have started to turn the needle more to the create part.
I find creating things 10x more pleasurable than consuming them. I feel energized and satisfied after writing code, a blog, or making a video. It even makes me want to create more.
If I binge-watch YouTube for 2 hours straight, I feel drained. I still fall into these rabbit holes now and then, but I am getting better at it slowly.
This newsletter is relatively short, mainly because I want to enjoy my time with my grandparents this week! But I hope this quote may strike a chord with you and encourage you to start creating!
PS. My YouTube channel is slowly creeping up to 5k subscribers (absolutely fantastic, thank you!), and I want to do a 5k Q&A special, so please let me know if you have any questions! Feel free to message me on any of my platforms!!!!!
Weekly Favourites ❤️
📚 Book — The Power of Geography by Tim Marshall. After finishing Prisoners of Geography in the past two weeks, I am onto its sequel! I recommend this to anyone; Marshall distills complex geopolitical topics in such a simple way.
🎙️ Podcast — Nonchalant Podcast. Started to listen to this and some of the episodes are really good. I am an absolute sucker for business-related podcasts.
🎬 Video — 40 Harsh Truths I Know at 40 but Wish I Knew at 20. Usually, I'm not a fan of these types of videos, but I think if anyone can do them, then it's Mark Manson.
