Nvidia Hits Sales Record 💾
So far this year, Nvidia’s market cap has increased by $1 trillion, and its share price has tripled. This surge is largely attributed due to its position as the leading AI chip maker, driven by its data centre business.
For Q3, Nvidia projects earnings of $16 billion, way surpassing Wall Street's forecasts. The bulk of this revenue is estimated to be generated from its data centre.
Nvidia’s CEO, Jensen Huang, said “A new computing era has begun. Companies worldwide are transitioning from general-purpose to accelerated computing and generative AI.”
It's a gold rush, and they are selling the shovels.
HuggingFace Receives Huge $235 Million Investment 🤗
HuggingFace, an AI start-up offering machine learning tools, has just raised $235 million in its Series D funding from big players like Google, Amazon, and Nvidia. The company is now valued at $4.5 billion, double what it was worth this time last year.
HuggingFace is a platform where data and tech enthusiasts can share and run large machine learning models. It also provides its own software packages and libraries that can be used on your local machine.
Such substantial investment in an open-source AI platform is encouraging news for general practitioners. It allows continued access to the latest advancements in data and AI technology.

Why Data Scientists Should Do Kaggle Competitions🏅
I recently completed my first Kaggle competition, which was about forecasting business density. It's safe to say I learned a significant amount, and I encourage anyone to enter one for the following reasons:
A Different Perspective on Data Science Solutions: Kaggle is all about performance, things like interpretability and business impact don’t exist.
Creativity of Solutions: The innovation within Kaggle is ridiculous. People approach the same problem in a myriad of ways.
Visualisations: The caliber of visualisations in the notebooks is truly exceptional. Engaging with them can greatly improve your EDA skills.
